I finally was getting back into painting. But, I had an old contour map which I crumpled up and brushed over with paint. Then I cut up pieces that reminded me of kelp and the painting unfolded from there. Years ago, when I was certified in scuba diving I realized that not only was swimming underwater where it’s truly a 3D world instead of the 2D one we normally travel in, but, I had entered the food chain. I got carried away with that idea in this painting.
